Evolution was a professional wrestling stable on WWE's Raw brand between 2003 and 2005. At the height of its existence, the group consisted of Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista.
Each of the members represented the best in "the past" (Ric Flair),
"the present" (Triple H), and "the future" (Randy Orton and Batista) of professional wrestling.
Evolution slowly began dissolving in 2004. The group turned on Orton the night following SummerSlam, when he won the World Heavyweight Championship and kicked him out. After winning the Royal Rumble in 2005 and teasing that he would chase the WWE Championship,
Batista turned on Triple H and decided to pursue the World Heavyweight
Championship himself. Although Batista's departure was largely the end
for the group, the final break up came when Triple H turned on and
attacked Flair.
no. 4 the four horsemen
The Four Horsemen were a professional wrestling stable in the National Wrestling Alliance and later World Championship Wrestling. The original group featured Ric Flair, Arn and Ole Anderson and Tully Blanchard. Ric Flair and Arn Anderson have been constant members in each incarnation of the group except once following Arn Anderson's neck injury where Curt Hennig was given Arn's spot in the Horsemen.
no. 3 the nexus
The Nexus and the New Nexus were a villainous professional wrestling stable in the professional wrestling promotion, WWE, that competed on its Raw brand. The group originally consisted of all eight rookies of NXT season one
and shifted their roster several times throughout their existence.
Their initial goal was to obtain WWE contracts for all members—save for
original Nexus leader Wade Barrett, who was already guaranteed a contract for winning NXT. The group went on to antagonize the Raw roster, with John Cena as their main focus, who forcibly became a member of Nexus via a match stipulation at Hell in a Cell. Cena eventually exited the group by being fired at Survivor Series but was later rehired by Barrett. By the start of 2011, Wade Barrett was exiled from the group by CM Punk,
who became the group's new leader. Under Punk's leadership, the group
was renamed to the New Nexus and became a tight-knit group dedicated to
one another by faith.
Under the leadership of both Barrett and Punk, The Nexus' most
noticeable trait was that all members wore a black armband bearing the
group's trademark black and yellow "N" logo; David Otunga was the only constant member. Throughout its existence, the group won the WWE Tag Team Championships three times and Punk won the WWE Championship in his final match with the stable.
no 2 NWO
The New World Order (commonly known and stylized as the nWo) was a professional wrestling stable in World Championship Wrestling (WCW)and the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E).[2] The stable originated in WCW with the gimmick of a group of unsanctioned wrestlers aiming to "take over" and control WCW in the manner of a street gang;
the group's initial three members and several others had gained fame in
the rival WWF, although this connection was only implied. The group
later appeared in the WWF (now known as WWE) after the purchase of WCW
by the WWF,[2] and a similar group, known as The Band appeared on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling
(TNA) in 2010. Although a resurrection of the nWo was implied, this
group was never billed as such, since WWE owns the rights to all WCW
trademarks.
The nWo angle
became one of the most influential forces in the late 1990s success of
WCW, and was instrumental in turning mainstream American wrestling back
into a more mature, adult-oriented product. The brainchild of WCW
Executive Eric Bischoff, and fueled initially by the unexpected heel turn of Hulk Hogan,
the nWo storyline is generally considered one of the most successful
angles in the history of modern-day professional wrestling, spawning
several imitations and parodies (including groups such as bWo, lWo and oWn).
It dominated WCW programming throughout the late-1990s and almost until
the dissolution of WCW in 2001, during which time there were several,
sometimes rival incarnations of the group. As a result of so many
members having joined, the nWo holds the record of the biggest wrestling
stable in wrestling history.
no.1 degeneration x
D-Generation X (also known and spelled as Degeneration X, DX and D-X) is a professional wrestling stable in WWE (previously the World Wrestling Federation and World Wrestling Entertainment). The group originated in the midst of the WWF's "Attitude Era" from 1997 to 2000.Their gimmick was that of a gang of rebels
who broke the rules, acted and spoke as they pleased, no matter how
provocative and/or insulting. Noted for their crude, profane humor and
sophomoric pranks, the stable has been dubbed multiple times as the
"most controversial group in WWF/E history".
After its original run with members Rick Rude, Chyna, Triple H and Shawn Michaels, the group expanded to become a mainstay of the Attitude Era with new additions X-Pac, the New Age Outlaws, Tori
until it disbanded in August 2000. After a teased reunion in 2002, DX
reformed in June 2006 as the duo of Triple H and Shawn Michaels for the
remainder of the year and again in August 2009 until March 2010, shortly before Michaels' retirement.
